Journey Internet Community Church is the online ministerial and evangelistic outreach of T.I.M.E. Network.  I mention our connection with T.I.M.E. Network at this time only because, should you be led by the Holy Spirit to financially support this ministry through a donation, you'll see T.I.M.E. Network at the top of the PayPal page you'd be redirected to.  I don't want you to think you're in the wrong place.  That said, please be assured that any and all financial support that is meant for this ministry will go to this ministry whether through donations or purchases made through our online shops and partners.

Though this website and online ministry are new, the idea isn't.  Neither is the call that The Lord placed on my life.  Even though I (Pastor Jon) accepted Christ back in the summer of '69, it wasn't until some 20 yrs. later that I started to sense The Lord calling me to minister in a more direct and public manner - through singing, teaching, and Christian web design (keep in mind, however, that we are all, in one way or another, called - as Christians - to minister).  And it wasn't until 6-7 yrs. later that I felt the call of The Lord to professional ministry.  I have since received my ordination from Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries and The First International Church Of The Web (Member Of The International Alliance Of Web-Based Churches).

After you read our doctrinal statement, you might be tempted to categorize Journey Internet Community Church as being non-denominational.  I, however, believe a more accurate term would be multi-denominational.  Why?  Again, as you'll discover from reading our doctrinal statement, the teachings of Journey Internet Community Church are a combination of the doctrinal beliefs of several Christian denominations.  This was not purposely planned to confuse, but came about as a natural result of the desire to know the Truth of God's Word no matter what the cost.  It is our belief that no single denomination has a monopoly on the Truth of God's Word.  But that this Truth can only be realized by a willingness to lay all emotional, ancestral, intellectual, traditional, and denominational ideas, biases, and beliefs down at the feet of The Holy Spirit, and allow Him to begin to teach us His Truth from His Word.  A process that, admittedly, will take a lifetime.  And praise God for it!

As our slogan states, the mission of Journey Internet Community Church is "Sharing The Light For The Journey Of Life".  The Light being, of course, The Lord Jesus Christ.  As God's Word tells us:

• Psalm 119:105 - "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a Light for my path.".  What is this Word? Read on...
• John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
• John 1:14 - "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the Only Begotten who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.".  Not only is Jesus The Word, we see below that He is also The Light.
• John 8:12 - "When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, "I Am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life."
• John 9:5 - "While I am in the world, I Am the Light of the world."

Our desire, no, our commission, is two-fold:

• To share Christ (The Light) with a lost world in the hope of illuminating their journey through this life; and
• To encourage, edify, and equip the church to be the witness for Christ that we are all called to be.
